Sewage Leak at
Recreation Ground
Untreated sewage leaked
onto the centre of the Delles field and onto the surface of
the Recreation Ground, close to the Community Centre, on 1st
Dec 08 and again on the 2nd Dec 08. The cause of the leak
was obstruction of the sewers at the pumping station and a
large amount of waste material had to be removed.
Advice was sought from
Anglia Water and the Customer Response Manager for
Cambridgeshire and Essex visited the village. We have been
asked to draw attention to the steps which we can all take
to prevent these incidents by restricting the items that are
flushed down our toilets.
These blockages have
been recurrent.

advice please follow the
